Member Portal Guide

Everything you can do on the KUYANJANANA member portal — step by step, explained clearly.

Getting Started

Step 1 — Apply

Visit kuyanjanana.org/membership and complete the application form. You will need your NRC or Passport number and choose a minimum of 2 shares (K2,200). Pay the K300 application fee at our office.

Step 2 — Verify Email

After applying, check your inbox for a verification email. Click the link to confirm your email address. This is required to receive important account notifications and to access all portal features.

Step 3 — Set Password & Log In

Once the board approves your application, you will receive a Welcome Email containing a link to set your password. After that, log in at /members/login with your email address.

Forgot Your Password?

  1. 1Go to the login page and click "Forgot Password".
  2. 2Enter your registered email address and submit.
  3. 3Check your inbox for the password reset link (valid for 60 minutes).
  4. 4Click the link, choose a new password, and log in.
💡

If you do not have an email address registered, contact us at [email protected] so we can update your account.

Dashboard

The dashboard is the first page you see after logging in. It gives you a complete snapshot of your account at a glance.

My Shares

The total number of shares you hold in the cooperative.

Total Share Value

The combined value of all your shares (shares × K1,100).

Total Paid

How much you have paid towards your shares so far.

Balance Due

Any remaining amount still owed on your shares.

Annual Contribution

Shows whether your K500 annual contribution has been paid this year.

Voting Rights

Indicates whether you currently hold voting rights in the cooperative.

Membership Status

Pending Approval Your application has been received and is waiting for board approval. You can log in but some features are limited.
Active Your membership is fully active. You have access to all features.
Suspended Your account has been temporarily suspended. Contact the office to resolve this.
ℹ️

Your dashboard also shows a quick link to your Digital Member Card and the latest cooperative notices from the team.

My Shares & Rendement

Navigate to My Shares via the portal menu. This page shows every share you own along with the daily interest it is earning.

25% per annum

Return on all fully paid shares — calculated daily, displayed live on your shares page.

Share Number: Each share has a unique number (e.g., KYN-000123). This is recorded in the cooperative's share register.
Amount: The face value of the share (K1,100 per share).
Rendement to Date: The interest earned on this share from its issue date to today at 25% p.a.
Status: "Paid" shares earn rendement. "Pending" shares do not yet earn interest.
Portfolio Chart: A line chart showing your total rendement growing over time across your entire portfolio.
💡

From the Shares page you can also list a share for sale on the Marketplace. Click the "List for Sale" button next to any paid share and set your minimum asking price.

Transactions & Statement

The Transactions page gives you a full record of every financial activity on your account.

Transaction Type What It Means
Share Payment A payment you made toward purchasing shares.
Application Fee The one-time K300 fee paid when joining.
Annual Contribution The yearly K500 membership contribution.
Kuyan Redemption Kuyan loyalty points redeemed against your balance.
Share Sale Proceeds from selling a share on the marketplace.
Share Purchase Payment made to buy a share via the marketplace.

Download Your Statement

Click the "Download Statement" button at the top of the Transactions page to download a full PDF statement of all your transactions — useful for personal records or tax purposes.

Savings Account

Your cooperative savings account lets you deposit funds, earn interest, and build the savings balance needed to qualify for a loan. Navigate to Savings Account in the portal menu.

Step 1 — Apply

Click "Apply for Savings Account" on the Savings page. Your application is submitted and an account number is reserved for you instantly.

Step 2 — Wait for Approval

An admin reviews your application. You will receive an email once it is approved. Your account status shows Pending in the meantime.

Step 3 — Start Saving

Once approved, your account is Active. You can immediately deposit funds, track your balance, and view your interest history.

Making a Deposit

  1. 1Go to Savings Account and click "Deposit Funds".
  2. 2Enter the amount, select your payment method (mobile money or bank transfer), and provide your transaction reference number.
  3. 3Submit the deposit request. An admin will verify your payment and approve it.
  4. 4Once approved, the amount is added to your balance and you receive a confirmation email.

Requesting a Withdrawal

  1. 1On the Savings page, click "Withdraw".
  2. 2Enter the amount you wish to withdraw and the reason for the request.
  3. 3Your request is reviewed by an admin. Approved withdrawals are paid out to you directly.

Download Your Savings Statement

From the Savings Account page you can download a full PDF statement or export your transaction history as a CSV file — covering all deposits, withdrawals, and interest earned.

💡

You need an active savings account before you can apply for a loan. The higher your savings balance, the larger the loan amount you may be eligible for.

Share Marketplace

The marketplace allows members to buy and sell shares with each other through an open bidding system. This gives you flexibility — you can increase your holdings or liquidate shares when needed.

B Buying Shares

  1. 1Go to Marketplace in the portal menu to see all shares currently listed for sale.
  2. 2Click on a listing to view the share details, minimum price, and current highest bid.
  3. 3Enter your bid amount (must be equal to or higher than the minimum price).
  4. 4If the seller accepts your bid, the deal is finalized and you become the owner of the share.
  5. 5You can withdraw your bid at any time before it is accepted.

S Selling Shares

  1. 1Go to My Shares and click "List for Sale" next to a fully paid share.
  2. 2Set your minimum asking price (the lowest bid you will accept).
  3. 3Your share appears on the marketplace. Other members can place bids.
  4. 4Review bids under My Listings and click "Accept Bid" on the offer you like.
  5. 5The deal goes to admin for approval. Once approved, the transfer is complete.
ℹ️

All marketplace deals require admin approval before they are finalized. You will receive a notification once the deal is approved or rejected.

💡

Use My Listings to see all shares you have listed and cancel a listing at any time. Use My Bids to track all bids you have placed on other members' shares.

Kuyan Wallet

⭐ What are Kuyans?

Kuyans are loyalty points you earn when you shop at KUYANJANANA partner businesses using your digital member card. Each partner sets their own earn rate. Kuyans have real monetary value — you can redeem them to pay off your outstanding share balance.

Earn

Shop at partner businesses and show your member card QR code at checkout. Kuyans are credited automatically.

💰

Redeem

Go to your Kuyan Wallet and redeem Kuyans against your outstanding share balance. A set number of Kuyans equals K1.

📊

Track

Your wallet shows your current Kuyan balance, lifetime earned, and a full history of all earn and redeem transactions.

How to redeem Kuyans:

  1. 1Go to Wallet in the portal menu.
  2. 2In the "Redeem Kuyans" box, select which outstanding share you want to pay off.
  3. 3Enter the number of Kuyans to redeem and confirm.
  4. 4Your share balance is reduced and the transaction is recorded.
ℹ️

Kuyans can only be redeemed against outstanding share balances. They cannot be converted to cash.

Digital Member Card

Your Digital Member Card is a QR code that identifies you as a KUYANJANANA member. It is the key to your benefits at our partner businesses.

At Partner Businesses

Show your QR code at any KUYANJANANA partner when you make a purchase. The partner scans it to credit your Kuyan loyalty points.

Proof of Membership

Your card displays your name, member number, and membership status. It can be used as proof that you are an active cooperative member.

Refresh the QR Code

For security, the QR code expires periodically. Click "Refresh" on the card page to generate a new valid code.

Use on Your Phone

Open the card page on your smartphone and show the screen to the cashier. No printing required.

Access your card quickly by tapping "My Card" in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

Affiliate Programme

Earn rewards every time someone you refer joins KUYANJANANA and becomes an active member. Your unique referral link is always available in the Affiliate Dashboard.

Your Referral Link

Go to Affiliate in the portal menu. Copy your unique referral link or code and share it via WhatsApp, Facebook, email, or in person.

How Rewards Work

When someone signs up using your link and their membership is approved, you earn a cash reward. The reward amount is set by the cooperative. Multi-level rewards may apply for subsequent referrals.

On the Affiliate Dashboard you can see:

Total number of members you have referred
Total rewards earned (paid) and rewards pending approval
Your unique referral code and a shareable link
A list of all your referrals with their current status
A full history of all affiliate rewards credited to your account
💡

Share your referral link with friends and family in Lusaka who are interested in saving and investing. The more active members you bring in, the more you earn!

My Profile

Keep your personal details up to date via Profile in the portal menu.

What you can update:

  • Profile photo
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Residential address
  • Postal address
  • Password

Changing your password:

  1. 1Enter your current password to confirm it is you.
  2. 2Enter and confirm your new password.
  3. 3Save changes. Use a strong password with letters, numbers and symbols.
ℹ️

Your full name, NRC/passport number, and member number cannot be changed by yourself. Contact the office if any of these need to be corrected.

Updating your profile photo:

  1. 1Go to Profile in the portal menu.
  2. 2Click the camera icon on your current photo, or drag and drop an image into the upload area.
  3. 3Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, or WebP — maximum 4 MB.
  4. 4Save your changes. Your photo appears in the top navigation bar and on your member card.
